What is polyphane used for?

Polyphane is a material often used in creative arts. It is a flexible but solid material, which will allow you to create lampshades, trivets, ... Polyphane is a plasticized paper (adhesive or not). It has the particularity of being gridded, which will allow you to draw your design easily.

This material is resistant to a temperature of 160 ° C .

We offer polyphane by the meter (1 roll = 25 m) which allows you to buy the quantity you will actually need for your creation.

Thanks to its flexibility , you can create all kinds of shapes.

We offer different types of polyphanes: transparent, opal, white, adhesive or non-adhesive.

You will be able to choose the best polyphane according to the use you want to make of it.

How is polyphane used?

It is quite easy to use, however, it requires a little patience.

• Cut your polyphane using a pair of scissors or a cutter to the desired size.
• Then cover your polyphane with the fabric, taking care not to bubble. Tighten your fabric well by sticking it. To do this, place your silk on the sticky surface of the polyphane and flatten the fabric well so as not to create air bubbles or folds. It is quite technical and delicate to carry out, do not go too fast.
• Cut your fabric using scissors and a shade template and put it on your shade.
• Create a unique lampshade by attaching the polyphane to the metal support.
