Learn how to mount a lampshade in 4 steps

Installation of a lampshade

Before you start mounting the lampshade, you will need:

• to choose the lampshade frame and circles
• to cut the corresponding adhesive polyphane.
• to glue the silk fabric on the adhesive polyphane AJ.ASTRAL
• Leave a 10mm margin extra silk around the top and bottom perimeter
• Apply an adhesive tape AJ.TRANS12X55 on the 10mm of fabric and on 2mm of polyphane, leaving the protective film
• Apply an adhesive tape on the 2 heights:
  One on the fabric (on the side where we start)
  One on the polyphane (on the side where we are going to finish)
• If possible have someone to help you

Step 1

• Start on the side where the tape is sticking to the fabric
• Gradually remove the protective film (tear small pieces) around the perimeter
• Glue the circles by rolling them on the 2 mm of glued polyphane
• Gradually fold the glued fabric onto the hoop, wrapping it well around the hoop. To do this, use a thin object (knife tip, nail file, etc.)

Step 2

• Put clothespins or clips to keep the parts already glued together
• Continue to roll the circles on the glued fabrics

Step 3

• Overlap the end of the polyphane equipped with adhesive tape with the fabric also equipped with adhesive tape
• If the polyphane is a little too long, carefully cut off the excess before removing the protective film from the adhesive tape

Step 2

• Put clothespins or clips to keep the parts already glued fast together
• Continue to roll the circles on the glued fabrics

Step 3

• Overlap the end of the polyphane equipped with adhesive tape with the fabric also equipped with adhesive tape
• If the polyphane is a little too long, carefully cut off the excess before removing the protective film from the adhesive tape

Step 4

• Remove the protective film from the adhesive tape on the fabric and on the polyphane
• Apply the 2 sides against each other
