What is pre-seamed?

The pre-set is a pre-designed tang. It is ready to use. Pre-crimped silk is practical because the illustrations are already drawn on it with crimp (gutta) which precisely delineates the edges. This way, your color will not overflow onto another. Color limitation is controlled.

How to use the pre-crimp?

The pre-crimp is ready to use.

Simply tighten your silk on your notched frame, using tacks or claws.

Once your silk is stretched, you can move on to painting. You can use steamable paint or not.

Then let your creation dry and then fix the colors using the oven for steamable colors, or with an iron (or microwave).
Advice

    It is best to wash your silk before painting it. This is to remove as much residue from products used during manufacturing as possible.
    ATTENTION! If you wash your pre-seam before painting it, you must iron it with a hot iron before and after washing to ensure that the gutta lines will be properly sealed. Allow for 3 to 5 minutes of ironing everywhere.
    Another solution is to put your pre-set in a household oven at 150°C, no need to fold it, just place it in a clean glass dish and that's it!
